Government Degree College Balakot

Government College Balakot was inaugurated in 1975 by the approval of Government N.W.F.P (K.P) and initially it was Inter College and in 1980 the College was upgraded from Inter to Degree level. In the beginning the degree level was restricted to Arts classes but as soon as the science block building  was completed, B.Sc classes was also initiated. In the horrible disaster of 8^th October 2005 earth quake,  the building of college was completely destroyed but the later on with the cooperation and interest of Higher Education the College new building was constructed and furnished by ERRA in 2014. Now the College is fully functioning having two beautiful blocks with spacious classrooms, labs, library and highly qualified teaching staff. The College has very conducive and caring environment for learning and its 2020 results of F.A/F.Sc showed the excellence. Our College has Four BS Programs (Zoology, Physics, Islamic Studies, Urdu, English and Chemistry) that provides affordable quality education to students of the area.
