Govt. Degree College Achini Payan Peshawar
<p><p>Government Degree College Achini Payan Peshawar is one of the newly established beautiful colleges of district Peshawar. It is situated at a distance of nearly 4KM from Kohat Road to the west. The area where the college has been constructed is called Khalil Momand area. It is said that Khalil &amp;amp;amp; Momand were brothers who came here and settled down at the opposite banks of river Bara, thus a well-populated area grew up through their efforts. Momand &amp;amp;amp; Khalil tribes expanded widely with passage of time. Momand tribe now comp[rises Badaber, Mashogagar, Bazid Khel, Masho Khel , Deh Bahader etc. While Khalil tribe comprises Tehkal, Palosai, Lakary Kaniza, Regi, Achini, Pistakhara, Nawan Kaly etc. Khalil tribe that consists of large population was deprived of any Govt. College for higher education. While Momand tirbe was gifted with a college at Badaber in 1987. So it was the profound desire of inhabitants of this area to be graced with a degree college for their boys. Land of this area is eco &amp;amp;ndash; friendly featuring the lush green fields of wheat, maize, sugarcane and orchards of fruits &amp;amp;amp; vegetables etc. similarly Achini and the nearby suburbs are gifted with dynamic sportsmen and prominent educationist who by their worth and abilities served the country. GDC Achini is one of the&amp;nbsp;newly established institutions in the proximity. The foundation stone was laid in the year 2012-13 and the beautiful and charismatic building stood in its full glory in 2015. College is located on almost 23 Kanals comprising a double story academic block, administration block, and examination hall. College is graced with the presence of modern laboratories and a fully enriched library as well as cafeteria premises. The progress initiated through the college by the Higher Education Department will provide the hope to prosper to the residents of this area. May this college achieve the education destiny of the inhabitants of this region.</p></p>
