Introduction

              To raise the standard and ratio of female education in the District of Nowshera, the Provincial Government and the dignitaries of the this area unanimously decided to establish one more Girls College to meet the needs of geographically and intellectually  fertile land of Tehsil Pabbi and its adjacent villages. Although, the Govt. Girls Degree College Nowshera and Govt. Girls Degree College PirPiai were imparting quality education to the female community of this area, but the area of Pabbi and itsnearby villages were hither to deprived of the right of education. The girls of this area gave up receiving education after matriculation. So, the need for this college was felt strongly.             The foundation of this Govt. Girls College Pabbi was laid at the hands of Mr. QaziHussain Ahmad (MNA) of that period on June 15, 2004. He also graced the inauguration ceremony on September 10,2006.             The college building sprawls over an area of 32 kanals. It is situated on the main G.T Road in the village named KandiTaza Din. The building of the college is easy to approach. It comprises of an Academic block, Computer Science Lab, IT Lab, Science Labs, while Geography, Psychology and Home Economics Labs are under process. A well stocked library is also an asset of the college. The building of student’s hostel still awaits the mates. The college canteen caters the staff and the students with fresh food at reasonable prices. Four lush green lawns and a spacious playground add beauty to the building of the college.             The Govt. Girls Degree College, Pabbi is affiliated with the board of Intermediate Mardan for Intermediate classes  and Women University, Mardan for Degree Classes. The college offers Intermediate in the disciplines of Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Computer Science and Humanities and BS four year program in the discilines of Botany, Zoology, Islamiyat,Urdu,Political science.             Since, its establishment, the college has been gaining strength, both in terms of student’s enrollment as well as in the quality of education it imparts. Approximately twelve hundred students boast of being the students of this college. The college intends to adopt a positive approach in order to enable itself for a complete uplift of female education. This institution also aims at the inculcation of basic human values along with awareness and practice of Islamic teachings in our youth of today so as to lead their lives as true Muslims.             The Principal, faculty and the ministerialstaff work congenially to form a friendly atmosphere and hope to progress in future.             May Allah almighty bless us with His support & courage to cope with all kinds of challenges in all walks of life, AMEEN!
